Wills & Kate make an unannounced stop at Wimbledon

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge watched from the front row of the Royal Box on Monday as the fourth-seeded Murray beat Richard Gasquet to reach the quarterfinals at Wimbledon.

The visit wasn't announced in advance and wasn't part of their official royal duties. They arrived at about 12:30 p.m. and were given a warm ovation by the Centre Court crowd when they took their seats in the Royal Box 25 minutes later.

The couple stayed through Venus Williams' loss to Tsvetana Pironkova and most of defending champion Rafael Nadal's win over Juan Martin del Potro.

In keeping with Wimbledon's all-white dress theme, Kate wore a summery Temperley London 'Moriah' off-white, knee-length dress with three tiers of knife pleats and embroidered straps (was on sale for £395.00 but at the time of this writing is sold out).

Below is a closer look at the detailing of the disks/petals adorning the front and back of the dress.

Finishing off her look, Kate accessorised with some old friends -- a nude snakeskin clutch and L.K.Bennett Sledge2 pumps. As she arrived/left, I noticed a chocolate colored jacket/blazer in her hand. Kate kept her jewelery simple and wore diamond and sapphire earrings to match her engagement ring and her gold engraved disk bracelet. Her glossy hair was down.

Update:

The latest reports about Kate's new gold bracelet (seen in the picture above) is that it was a gift from her step-mother-in-law Camilla. As to where it was bought, this is still unknown.

  1. Is there a way to find out where one can find a charm engraved disk bracelet like Kate's?
