Kate Stuns in McQueen at Queen's Thanksgiving Service

The Duchess of Cambridge looked stunning today for the Queen's thanksgiving service at St Paul's Cathedral. It was her final appearance of the jubilee celebrations and was the third day in a row that she chose to wear something from the McQueen label.

Kate and William were welcomed at the cathedral today by hundreds of well-wishers who had gathered outside the cathedral ahead of today's service.

As one of the senior royals, Kate walked alongside William down the long aisle of St Paul's cathedral just ahead of the Queen as the monarch arrived for today's service.

After the service William and Kate rode in a carriage procession with other members of the Royal Family.

The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge attended a reception at Guildhall, and then Kate was one of a number of royals including Charles and Camilla who attended the City of London Livery companies lunch, held for some 700 guests. There was a wide range of representation in trades and professions, ranging from grocers and gunmakers to fruiterers and fishmongers.

The Jubilee celebrations came to a climax as the senior royals were met with a huge outpouring of adoration from a sea of people head-to-toe in red, white and blue who gathered below the balcony at Buckingham Palace.

Kate opted for a stunning bespoke slim-fitting nude lace shift dress with a white sheath underlay by Alexander McQueen. The dress had full-length sleeves, an accented waist with ribbon belt and ladylike knee-length hemline. A similar dress bought off the shelf would cost around £2,865.

She polished off her look with a matching bespoke beaded cocktail hat and birdcage veil with a disc trim by milliner Jane Taylor (£790).

Description from the Jane Taylor Millinery website www.janetaylormillinery.com:

This piece can bemade in ivory, black, scarlet, dove grey, nude, navy or dyed to order. Please do call or email if you would like this piece dyed to order (£790 or $1300). Ref: S105."

Completing her outfit, The Duchess wore her favourite nude LK Bennett Sledge heels (£185), her satin Prada logo box-clutch with goldtone hardware (£350), and her, still unidentified pearl drop earrings.
